‘Star Wars’ actress Carrie Fisher in ICU

‘Star Wars’ actress is currently in the Intensive Care Unit after a heart attack on a plane.

US actress Carrie Fisher who appeared in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy is under intensive care after a heart attack struck her on a plane.

“She’s in the ICU and everybody’s praying for her,” her brother, Todd Fisher, was quoted by the media as saying in a phone interview, adding, “There’s nothing new from the doctors. There’s nothing new at all. … There’s no good news or bad news.”

The plane headed from London to Los Angeles and according to an emergency official the actress' medical condition was critical on Friday.

Todd Fisher also said media outlets are “writing between the lines” in reporting that she’s now in stable condition.

A media report said Fisher, aged 60, suffered from a cardiac arrest a few minutes prior to the plane landing. She was transferred to UCLA Medical Center and has gone on a ventilator.

Her “Star Wars” costars, fellow actors, and others in Hollywood have sent messages over the health issue that happened to the actress.

Harrison Ford wrote in a statement “I’m shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend. Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends.”
